Roberto Orci will NOT direct Star Trek 3! At his place, maybe, Edgar Wright

In May of this year the writer Roberto Orci has been officially confirmed director of the third chapter of the saga of Star Trek, then taking the baton from J.J. Abrmas. Now, however, the situation takes a sudden change: he will NOT be director of the movie. And Paramount Pictures has already a substitute: Edgar Wright (The end of the world).

In 2016 will be celebrated the 50th anniversary of the FRANCHISE and just in 2016 will be released Star Trek 3. At least these were the plans until a few hours ago when he landed on the network news that Roberto Orci will NOT direct the movie. After writing the first and the second episode of the saga, Orci would have to take place in the control room vacated by JJ Abrams (too busy with STAR WARS), his name had been confirmed as director last May, but not now will be more so.

Deadline reports that fact Roberto Orci NOT longer directing the film while remaining involved in the project as a producer. But above all, Paramount Pictures has already found a replacement, that Edgar Wright (The end of the world, as well as failure to director of Ant-Man). No clear reasons for abandonment (or the expulsion, more likely) of Orci and is not specified whether Wright, once officially hired, will use the script signed by the same initial Orci with Patrick McKay and JD Payne, although the site badassdigest.com reports that among the reasons for the break are depended mainly from a script which is not satisfactory now you want to put your hand. As you know, Orci is known mostly for his work as a screenwriter teamed with Alex Kurtzman: the duo behind the BLOCKBUSTER most important of the last 10 years and they are the scripts of the sagas of The Amazing Spider-Man, Transformers, Star Trek but also of Now You See Me, and Cowboys & Aliens. Star Trek 3 would mark of made his directorial debut.
