Simon Kinberg speaks of Fantastic Four: the sci-fi approach, Dr. Fate and the cross-over with the X-Men

In a new interview, the writer of Fantastic Four focuses on the approach of the sci-fi film, makes some considerations on the possible cross-over with the X-Men and talks about Victor Domashev aka Dr. Doom.

The teaser trailer for Fantastic Four was received quite well by the fans, and helped to dissolve at least part of the skepticism surrounding this cinecomic. Many appreciated the tone of science fiction story, to the point that the trailer works fine even with the sound of Interstellar, and screenwriter Simon Kinberg told Entertainment Weekly that loves this particular approach:

One of the strongest elements of the comics of the Fantastic 4 is the emphasis that is placed on science fiction. We face the superpowers as a trauma. The characters do not jump on top of a roof to get to flutter over the city. It is the opposite. What would happen if your body from turning, and you had not control?

In the past there has been much talk of a possible cross-over with the X-Men, including 20th Century Fox owns the film rights: for the moment there is nothing definite, but Kinberg is open to this possibility.

The reboot of the Fantastic 4 really needed to work for himself, independently. We did something pretty radical with the tone of the film. If we wanted to find a way to connect to the X-Men, we could. There are many precedents in the comics.

In the trailer there is an easter egg tied to Latveria, birthplace of Dr. Doom (who in the film will be called Victor Domashev), and we know that his transformation will occur along with that of the Fantastic 4, as in the comic Ultimate. Screenwriter commented:

[Victor] is driven by aspirations and conflicts that are more classically tragic than the other characters. In addition to telling the origins of our heroes, the film also focuses on how someone can become a "bad".

Produced by 20th Century Fox and Matthew Vaughn, directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle), The Fantastic Four will be released on August 7, 2015. The cast includes Kate Mara (Sue Storm / Invisible Woman), Miles Teller (Reed Richards / Mr. Fantastic), Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm / The Thing), Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm / Human Torch) and Toby Kebbell (Victor Domashev / Dr. Doom).

Star Wars - Bob Iger confirmed release dates for Episode VIII and Episode IX

The CEO of Disney has confirmed that the new episodes of Star Wars will come to two years away from each other, and has reassured fans on the quality of Episode VII: The awakening of the Force.

Disney has just sent its usual annual report to its shareholders, and the document includes a statement by Bob Iger, CEO of the company, on the Star Wars saga. Iger confirmed that the next chapter will come to two years away from each other, of course, referring to Star Wars - Episode VIII and Episode IX:

As one of the few people who have been granted to visit the set during filming ... and one of the few who have seen most of the shot ... I can assure the millions of Star Wars fans who have spent the last decade in the hope of seeing a new film, the awakening of the Force that is all their expectations. And it is just the beginning of a new era of extraordinary adventures in the world of Star Wars; next year we will distribute our first spin-off based on these characters, followed by Star Wars: Episode VIII in 2017, and then we will conclude this trilogy with Episode IX in 2019.

Iger then reassures fans on the commitment of Disney to the Star Wars franchise, of which we will see a movie every year (including spin-off) from Star Wars - Episode VII: The awakening of the Force onwards. Star Wars - Episode VIII will be directed by Rian Johnson, director of Looper.

I remind you that the new teaser will likely be associated with copies of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and perhaps include the first images of the heroes of "classic", Luke, Leia, Han Solo and Chewbacca, 32 years after their last appearance on the big screen.

Star Wars: The awakening of the Force will arrive in theaters December 18, 2015 and January 5, 2016 in Italy, directed by JJ Abrams. Very few official details about the plot: when we have confirmation that the film will be set 30 years after the events of Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.

The cast will find a group of "new faces" (John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o), plus some historical characters such as Harrison Ford (Han Solo ), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (D-3PO), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Kenny Baker (C1-P8) and Carrie Fisher (Leia).

Josh Trank and Simon Kinberg comment on the trailer for Fantastic Four

Josh Trank and Simon Kinberg explain why you are being held with the teaser trailer, because it needed a realistic setting and other curiosities about the movie Fantastic Four ...

With the arrival of the teaser trailer for Fantastic Four, I finally have an idea of how will this new live action adaptation of the comic of the Fantastic Four, completely immersed in science and with cross-references to the films of Nolan.
The images you saw in the trailer were chosen carefully by director Josh Trank: "We live in a time that richede instant gratification from the audience. It was a fun challenge to put together this teaser, pick and choose what you want to reveal. "

Not much is revealed in these images, we see a glimpse of the costumes of the four main characters and the use of their powers. The producer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg explains that the aim was to immerse the audience slowly inside this mysterious experience cinematogafica that will end with the movie. "What we are doing is very different, and we want people to have an idea of it. There is a mystery, and the slow immersion in this part, is part of the experience that the end will be the film. We wanted to give you a different feeling, and to represent what is singular in the film. It has a little 'more constraints perhaps than some of the other trailer these days. In many ways it is a story about the origins but also on how they react to this transformation and the way the world reacts or does not react to them, I would say that is different from all the other superhero movies. "

Kinberg and Trank have commented on the trailer, the following are the main points of what was said:

-Trank Is a big fan of Bryan Hitch, writer and cartoonist DC and Marvel. See Reed in his garage in his comics Ultimates has particularly inspired and pushed the director to tell the story of a young Reed Richards.
-Kinberg Explains that the goal of this film is to tell a story of generations, of a new generation. This was one of the reasons that prompted him to use the Ultimate tested as one of the sources of inspiration for the film, because there are young people Fantastic 4.

-More Than give an idea of the story, Trank explained Stan Lee because he wanted to make the film. The fummetista loved the idea of taking seriously the F4 and put them in the modern space.
-The Choice of four dramatic actors like Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell was necessary to tell a story realistic and dramatic.
-Trank Wanted to explore what would be the next frontier (when it was launched the series was the man sula moon, today we could say the Internet), to make a realistic film in science and reality. 'I wanted to see the science in science fiction, something that we rarely see'.

-For Trank the motion-capture was the logical choice to recreate the Thing, record all the details of the expressions and emotions of Bell. The only thing that has not changed, when Bell is in mo-cap and when it is not, are his eyes.
-The Idea that the suits had a scientific function, it is always Trank. Have been transformed into suits of containment that help them to monitor and control their powers.
-In The film took seriously the scientific explorations, as the notion of inter-dimensional travel.
-For Trank the most important thing about this film is that the F4 are a family. Show the extent to which a family can go, in the most extreme conditions, and come back together stronger than ever.

The abandonment of space travel for those interdimensional is an important part of the Ultimate Fantastic Four. In the interview with Empire Trank explains why it was necessary to set the film in a realistic world: "You can not have the words 'fantasy' or 'fantastic' without a contrast. Must stem from a realistic experience. You can not have good without evil, you can not have the right without wrong, you can not have the fantastic without the mundane. You have to experience all this and really earn the title of the movie, Fantastic Four. "

Produced by 20th Century Fox and Matthew Vaughn, directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle), The Fantastic Four will be released on August 7, 2015. The cast includes Kate Mara (Sue Storm / Invisible Woman), Miles Teller (Reed Richards / Mr. Fantastic), Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm / The Thing), Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm / Human Torch) and Toby Kebbell (Victor Doomashev / Dr. Doom).

The latest rumors about Avengers: Age of Ultron reveal the presence of a cosmic character in the film here who it is. Moreover, it would be confirmed the identity of Andy Serkis.

This time it's up to Schmoes Know publish two intriguing rumor of Avengers: Age of Ultron, suggesting the presence of two other Marvel characters in the film. One of them, in particular, confirm the true identity of Andy Serkis.

So Schmoes Know confirms that Andy Serkis will play Ulysses Klaw, who could also acquire some characteristics of his father Fritz Klaue. In comics, Klaw is a scientist whose body consists of solid sound, and is armed with a prosthesis that allows him to make sounds at very high intensity, even in the form of physical constructs. It is one of the leading opponents of the Black Panther, and his presence could connect Avengers: Age of Ultron Black Panther.

The second scoop concerns the appearance of a cosmic character within the film: it is Mantis, the warrior with mental powers (including telepathy, empathy, precognition, pyrokinesis) that in comics fought alongside the Avengers against both Thanos is against Ultron, and was also part of the Guardians of the Galaxy. The source of Schmoes Know argues that the presence of Mantis would be further justified by its links with Vision, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, as well as from his personal desire for revenge against Klaw. It is not clear how it can fit into the plot of the film, but it certainly would link the terrestrial to the cosmic events, especially in anticipation of the next Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Avengers: Infinity War. It's really great to be part of the Marvel Universe. It's rare to be in a movie, knowing that it will be good. And Marvel never aims to mediocrity for any of his films. This is great. You can go on as long as you want, because you already know that they will do something good.

Mackie has also confirmed that in Captain America: Civil War will have a new costume, and stressed the magnitude of the film:

I have a brand new custom, are completely at ease. And I will tell you this: Cap 3 will be all that you can imagine. Cap 2 was really a 1.5 Avengers, while Cap 3 Avengers will be a 3.8.

New information on Destiny and the plot of the Fantastic Four [RUMOR]

In the reboot of the Fantastic Four will not see the classic love story between Susane Reed? According to a safety officer at the assembly of the Fox no, the employee also revealed new information on the film and the title card ...

Apparently a Fox employee who was working at the assembly of the Fantastic Four, has opened a discussion on Reddit, where he provided new details about the movie about Dr. Doom, a new romance, the Negative Zone and more. To prove the truth of his comments, published a picture of the logo is the end credits of the film.

The topic has been canceled, probably at the request of Fox, but a user of IMDB managed to save it.

POTENTIAL SPOILER WARNING

"Hello everyone!

My name is ... well if you want you can call me Mr. Blue.

I am an employee of 20th Century Fox and is specialized in the assembly. Help to make some rough cuts of films before they are sent to their final phase. Anyway, a few months ago I was approached to work on the second rough cut of the film of the Fox, Fantastic Four. I was pretty excited because I'm a big fan of the characters, and even though the film did not look promising ... I still can not wait to see him.

The film itself was not bad at all - seems Chronicle 2 and is not a bad thing. He manages to keep the base of the characters, despite the change of race Johnny and uh .. the love story between two original characters (I will not say who). Since I'm a fan, I decided to take a picture of the logo shown during the credits, for fans. If this were another scenario, I would have used a screenshot ... but draw our computers at work, so I was forced to be sneaky and use my cell phone ... ".

In the world of Ultimate, Earth 1610, Ben and Susan are husband and wife. We could see a love story between these two characters? Mr Blue unfortunately did not provide other details.

-mr Blue says that Fox has no reason to keep all this secrecy about the film, the film is not a complete disaster but it is genuinely a good movie. Maybe they do not want to upset diehard fans.

-Domashev Is a blogger and a programmer who works for Dr. Storm at Baxter Institute, after gaining his powers his personality is similar to that of the classic Doom Terra 616. There are many suggestions about his future as governor of Latveria.

-the photos of Destiny leaked on the net is more or less what we will see at the cinema. There will be improvements with computer graphics, but will not change much.

-ward the end of the film Destino tell the F4 that can do the 'right' with his powers and help his homeland.

-the computer graphics is not over yet but the rough cut of the film, the design of what seems affixed, basically is the Thing.

-the first half of the second act, and the final battle will be set in the Negative Zone, about 30 minutes, the film is called Dimension N.

Another user leonine99, reveals that his friend was lavorandi the CGI of the Thing, but recently left the production.

"It is a big fan of the F4 and the Thing is one of his favorite characters. It is very unsatisfied the direction of the film. She was particularly upset with the way Destiny is represented. He said, however, that they were doing some rewrites and those were positive changes. These could be things referred to by those who opened the debate. Defines it still a 'beep'. "

Two conflicting views, those shared on film, not yet completed. But without a photo or a trailer is hard to say which of them can be right.

Produced by 20th Century Fox and Matthew Vaughn, directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle), Fantastic Four will be released on August 7, 2015. The cast includes Kate Mara (Sue Storm / Invisible Woman), Miles Teller (Reed Richards / Mr. Fantastic ), Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm / The Thing), Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm / Human Torch) and Toby Kebbell (Victor Doomashev / Dr. Doom).
