 As we know, before the future of Spider-Man became a big question mark, Sony had very precise plans, which included a film focused on the Sinister Six, the super group of fearsome villain in the Marvel universe. This project is currently on standby, but if rumors are true regarding the agreement between Sony and Marvel, shortly find out more details.

There was a time, however, in which the film seemed very close to the street and this is confirmed by some emails that have recently sprung up in the web. The Sony was considering the cast and there were a number of famous faces that had been considered for the key roles. Below the wishlist:

     - Sandman: Tom Hardy

     - Scorpia (a real comic book character and not a female version of Scorpion): Emily Blunt, Emilia Clarke and Elizabeth Olsen, but it was already too late, since the actress was in the cast of The Avengers: Age of Ultron

     - Doctor Octopus: Sean Penn, Woody Harrelson

     - Vulture: Colin Firth

     - Venom: Channing Tatum

Other names considered for roles unspecified are George Clooney and Daniel Craig. As for Sandman, from conversations showed that this character would have represented the "funny side" of the film. Other actors considered for this role are Danny McBride, Jonah Hill, Chris O'Dowd, Michael Pena, Joel Edgerton, Jason Clarke and Sharlto Copley.

Some final curiosity:

     - Doctor Octopus is described as the leader of the group, for this is stated in the email that his characterization does not have to be boring.

     - It was also been taken into account the return of Emma Stone as Carnage.
