Mel Brooks could make Spaceballs 2 if Moranis will return to acting

If Rick Moranis will agree to return to interpret Dark Helmet, Mel Brooks will continue to tell the story of yogurt and other characters in Spaceballs Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money ...

At some point in Spaceballs Yogurt reveals that he and Lone Star will meet again in Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money, but we will never see a sequel to this cult film? The director Mel Brooks has unveiled during the Adam Carolla podcast 'Take a Knee' that if he can convince Rick Moranis, the interpreter of Dark Helmet, to return to acting then chances are good.

"Maybe I could do another musical, maybe I could make another film. I was thinking about Spaceballs, the other day. In Spaceballs, in the film, Bill Pullman tells me, Yogurt, Yogurt simply says 'Do you think we'll meet again?' And I say, 'Well, I do not know ... maybe in Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money'. And now I'm thinking, if I made a film that will be released soon after Star Wars - maybe a couple of months later - I have a great weekend, you know? No matter what will be, could also fall on your ass and not get all his money back ... but that first weekend, the anticipation of seeing Spaceballs 2, it would be ... I still Daphne Zuniga and I still Rick Moranis if it did , and I still myself. "

Moranis is definitely one of the key characters of the film, but not acting in a film Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves (1997). In the 2000s he worked as a voice actor, his last engagement was Brother Bear 2 of 2006, while in 2013 he released his latest album My Mother's Brisket & Other Love Songs (2013). Brooks also will have to find someone who can replace John Candy (Ruttolomeo) and Joan Rivers (the voice of Dorothy).

But the words of Brooks are a bit 'of concern, because he admits that he had just happened in the first weekend, is not interested in another. The last his films parodic fell short of classics like Frankenstein or High voltage.

Also this film genre has been completely undermined in recent years, we are far from pearls as The aircraft in Love or The Naked Gun or Hot Shots! 2.
