A small group of actresses participated in the tests made by 20th Century Fox for the role of the female protagonist of cinecomic Deadpool starring Ryan Reynolds, which will start shooting in March in Vancouver.

At present there are no details on the character, the two front runners are Morena Baccarin (Homeland) and Taylor Schilling (Orange is the new black), but the study is considering four other actresses: Crystal Reed (Teen Wolf), Rebecca Rittenhouse (The Red Ban Society), Sarah Greene (Vikings) and Jessica De Gouw (Arrow).

For years, Tim Miller of Blur Films is developing a film based on a screenplay by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Produced by Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg, Deadpool hits theaters February 12, 2016.
