From Soprano to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Drea De Matteo will play a new villain

Drea De Matteo, known for The Sopranos and Sons of Anarchy, has joined the cast of Agents of SHIELD to interpret a new antagonist: his character has also appeared in the comics, but in a different form ...

The return of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be marked by a number of new faces, and between them there will also Drea De Matteo: actress, known for her roles in The Sopranos, Joey, Desperate Housewives, and Sons of Anarchy, will play Karla Faye Gideon, the character appeared in Daredevil: Redemption. Contrary to his comic version, however, in Agents of SHIELD will have powers (not yet specified), and will join forces to Cal / Mr. Hyde (Kyle MacLachlan) against the team of Coulson. In short, will be deployed on the front of the antagonists, and nourish a grudge against SHIELD.

Jeoh Loeb, head of Marvel TV projects as well as executive producer of the series, said the following:

We are excited to have Drea with us to interpret another great villain who will launch a challenge to our cast. Already anticipate the opportunity to work with her in a role so threatening.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. return on ABC on March 3 with the premiere midseason.

The second season includes many guest stars, including Kyle MacLachlan as Mr Hyde, father of Skye; Adrianne Palicki in to Barbara Morse aka Mockingbird; Nick Blood in the mercenary Lance Hunter; Henry Simmons in the agent Alphonso "Mac" Mackenzie; and Luke Mitchell in that of Lincoln, an Inhuman. In addition, an episode will Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif.
