Star Wars - New details on the spin-off of Gareth Edwards

The spin-off of Star Wars to be released in 2016 and directed by Gareth Edwards is still shrouded in mystery, but now come new rumor about his possible plot ...

We know that Gareth Edwards (Monsters, Godzilla) is working with screenwriter Gary Whitta on the first spin-off of Star Wars to be released in 2016, but details about it are still scarce, and strictly unofficial.

A few days ago we reported a rumor that the spin-off would starring Han Solo, and Aaron Paul could join the cast, but now come further rumor from Badass Digest: it seems that this film will revolve around a group of space pirates (perhaps instructed to steal the plans for the Death Star on behalf of the rebels), and among them there will also be a young Han Solo. If so, it would be obviously a prequel to Episode IV, and would light not only on the past of Han Solo, but also on the strategies of the Rebels to oppose the Empire. Of course this is just rumors and speculation, so there is nothing official.
